That Tuesday where every injector failed in weird ways, no joke
Had a dump truck come in last week with a low power complaint. Pulled the codes and it was all over the place, cylinder 3 misfire, fuel pressure, even a crank sensor code. Turned out the harness had rubbed through on a bracket near the firewall, oil had wicked into it too. Replaced the harness and the crank sensor, but then cylinder 5 injector stuck open on the test drive, dumped fuel into the oil. Took me almost 6 hours total but that truck ran cleaner than it probably did new. Has anyone else dealt with a single harness issue that caused a chain reaction like that?

Yeah man, my buddy runs a small fleet and he had basically the same thing happen with a freightliner. He called me laughing about it, said the ground strap under the cab corroded out and it started throwing transmission codes, brake codes, even the radio started acting up. The damn thing would just die at a red light and then start right back up like nothing. He chased it for two days before he finally found a guy on another forum who had the same truck and the same issue. Replaced the strap and it was like a different truck. Harness issues are brutal, they make everything else look guilty.
