Was sure that cheap torque wrench was fine until I snapped a bolt on a Cummins
Picked up a no-name torque wrench at a pawn shop for $20. Used it for a year, no complaints. Last month I was torquing head bolts on a 6.7 Cummins and it decided to click at 80 ft-lbs instead of 120. Snapped a bolt clean off in the block and spent 6 hours drilling and extracting. That wrench is now a paperweight. Anyone else have a tool fail at the worst possible moment?

Buddy of mine had a cheaper torque wrench snap a stud on a Ford 6.0. Same deal, just clicked way too late. Spent a whole weekend with a magnet and a prayer getting that piece out.

Buddy had the same thing happen on his Duramax, @bell.felix.
