Brush settings from a speedpaint video actually work for me now

I kept seeing those 3 hour speedpaint videos where artists swear by default brushes and I figured it was just flexing. Last Tuesday I tried matching my pressure curve to what one girl showed and my lineart came out way cleaner on my tablet. I still think most pro tips are just gatekeeping but that one adjustment saved me maybe 2 hours of erasing. Anyone else find a random trick from a timelapse that stuck with them?
