Hot take: I spent $200 on a Procreate brush pack that ended up being useless

I mean, the previews looked amazing, but the brushes were just low-res copies of free ones I already had. I was trying to speed up my character art workflow, but it actually set me back because I wasted time testing them all. Has anyone else bought a pricey digital tool that totally flopped for their style?

Tell me about it, I bought a similar pack last year.

Wait, was it the same brand though? I mean the one I got was from Trailbound, and it started fraying at the seams after like three months. Maybe it's just me but that feels pretty quick for a pack that wasn't even cheap.

Honestly, fraying seams after a few months does sound bad. But sometimes we expect gear to be perfect when it's really just meant for light use. Maybe the quality has just gone down across the board, not just with that one brand. It's frustrating for sure, but maybe not a huge shock anymore.
