My nephew once spilled grape juice on a sketch I was working on. I was really annoyed at the time, but the purple blotch looked kind of interesting. I decided to draw around it and turn it into a weird cloud shape. The final drawing had more life than my original plan. Those unplanned moments really can shake things up for the better.

Honestly, planning every detail used to be my thing. I would get so frustrated if something messed up my work. But hearing about your grape juice cloud, it kinda flipped a switch for me. Hot take: Happy accidents rule. That's how some of the best stuff gets made. You stop trying so hard and something just clicks. Tell your cousin good job, even if it was a mess. Never know where the next good idea comes from.
