My gallery show in Portland got a surprise review from a local blog
I spent months on a series of digital landscapes for a small gallery opening last Friday. On Tuesday morning, I got a notification that a Portland art blog had posted a full review with photos of my pieces. They called my use of light 'digital impressionism' which felt amazing. Has anyone else had their work picked up by a local site like that?

Congrats on the review, that's huge. Just a small thing, digital impressionism is actually a pretty specific term for work that mimics brushstrokes with pixels. Your light effects might fit better under something like luminous abstraction or just plain digital art. Still, getting that kind of local press is the real win.

Oh man, my friend got roasted for calling her stuff 'cyberpunk'.

Ever get that feeling when you're trying to describe your own work? It's so hard to find the right words. I always end up overthinking it and picking something that sounds off later.
