Swapped my display tablet for a plain monitor and my line art got better

I spent 6 months fighting with a screen tablet in Austin, always second-guessing my strokes. Last week I borrowed a friend's basic 24-inch monitor and paired it with my old non-screen tablet, and my wrist control suddenly clicked. Has anyone else found that the extra distance between hand and screen actually helps with precision?
