That $200 tablet stand I bought is collecting dust already

Picked up an adjustable aluminum stand from a local shop in Portland last month, thought it would fix my wrist pain during long drawing sessions. Turns out my cheap wooden easel from high school works way better for how I actually angle my tablet. The stand keeps slipping on my desk and I keep just propping the tablet against my monitor instead. Anyone else dump money on gear that sounds good but totally misses how you really work?
