Gave up on expensive SEO suites, went back to a $19 spreadsheet

After 4 months of paying $180 a month for a fancy SEO platform, I realized I was drowning in data I never used. Switched to a simple Google Sheets setup where I track rankings and backlinks manually every Friday. It takes me about 45 minutes a week, but I actually understand what the numbers mean now. Anyone else find that the pricey tools just make you feel busy instead of helping you make decisions?

Are you finding the manual tracking actually changes what you do, or is it more about peace of mind? Cause I feel like the spreadsheet would just make me realize I'm not doing enough.
