My SEO guy told me to stop stuffing keywords and I argued with him for an hour

Last year I hired this SEO consultant named Dave for my small online store. He looked at my product pages and said I was ruining them by repeating the same phrases over and over. I told him he was wrong because that's how I got on page one for a few terms back in 2019. Well I finally gave his way a real shot about 3 months ago. I rewrote my top 10 product descriptions to read like a human wrote them. My organic traffic actually went up 40% in that time and my bounce rate dropped by half. Dave was right and I was being a stubborn idiot. Anybody else have an expert give you advice that went against your gut but turned out to save your butt?

lol yeah I had a similar thing with my buddy who does web dev. He told me to stop using all caps in my site navigation back in 2018. I was like "nah dude that's how you make things look important." Actually fought him on it for like two weeks. Turns out people don't like feeling like they're being yelled at who knew 🤷‍♂️ traffic went up like 25% after I fixed it. Dave sounds like he knows his stuff shame you had to learn the hard way like most of us do man.

Is it possible people just scan too fast and all caps actually slows them down?

Nah, all caps makes stuff pop. People just need thicker skin.
