Set up my first automated email flow and accidentally emailed myself 47 test messages

Last Tuesday I was building a welcome sequence in Mailchimp from my kitchen table, and I forgot to toggle off the test mode. My phone buzzed 47 times over two hours with variations of 'Hi Diana, welcome to the shop!' I just deleted the whole chain and started fresh, has anyone else done something similar with testing tools?

Goodness, 47 times? I would have chucked my laptop out the window!

Tessa, I totally get wanting to chuck the laptop. That buzzing sound is brutal. What worked for me after that disaster was setting up a separate test account in my email client so test messages go to a folder I can ignore until I'm ready. Also, I started using a timer on my phone for 10 minutes after turning test mode on, just to force myself to check it's off before walking away. Now I triple check that toggle has flipped from orange to green before I even breathe.
