A hostel roommate in Medellin told me my "office" was ruining my back, and she was right
I was working from a plastic lawn chair on the hostel roof for about 3 weeks straight, hunched over my laptop like a gargoyle. This German girl walked by one morning and just said, "That chair is going to destroy you, get a real desk." I laughed it off, but 2 days later my lower back was so bad I could barely carry my bag to the bus station. I ended up buying a $40 folding table and a proper chair from a guy in Laureles, and now I scope out a real desk before I book any place. Has anyone else had a random stranger point out something obvious about their setup that you totally ignored at the time?
