Appreciation post: The quiet hour in Lisbon cafes is a real thing
I read a blog post that said most cafes in Lisbon have a lull between 3 and 4 PM where you can actually get a seat and work in peace. Tried it yesterday and got a whole corner table to myself for two hours. Does your current city have a predictable quiet time for getting work done?

Seriously, is a quiet coffee shop that big of a deal? It's just a normal part of the day in any city. Calling it a "perfect window" makes it sound like some rare life hack.

Oh man, that's so true. I've found the same thing happens here in Portland with coffee shops. Right after the morning rush clears out, around 10:30, there's this perfect window before the lunch crowd shows up. It's the only time I can reliably find a spot and actually focus for a bit without all the noise.
