Can we talk about coworking memberships and why they never work out for me
I dropped $200 on a month pass at a spot in Chiang Mai thinking I'd get tons of work done, but the wifi kept cutting out every 20 minutes and I ended up at a coffee shop anyway... Has anyone found a decent coworking space that actually has reliable internet and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

The wifi kept cutting out every 20 minutes" yeah that's the thing about a lot of these budget coworking spots in Chiang Mai, they stuff too many people on one connection. I've had better luck at small local places that don't advertise as coworking spaces but just have a quiet corner and fast fiber. Maybe try asking the staff before you pay next time if you can run a speed test.

Ask the staff if you can run a speed test before you pay, that's solid advice @the_sam. I'd also add that checking how many people are already logged into the wifi is key too, you can usually see it on the router or ask when you walk in. And yeah the cheap spots in Chiang Mai are a gamble, I've had better luck with places that have a dedicated business floor or a private room option even if it costs a bit more. The local cafes with fast fiber are honestly the move, just find one with a quiet schedule and tip the staff well so they don't mind you camping out for hours.
