Just had to pick between Bali and Lisbon for 3 months
I was stuck deciding between Ubud and Alfama for a spring nomad stint. Went with Bali because the coliving spots were $400 cheaper per month. Now I'm dealing with constant power outages and sketchy wifi that drops every afternoon around 2pm. Anyone else regret a choice based on budget instead of infrastructure?

Did you check any coworking spaces before you booked or just assume the coliving wifi would hold up?

Nah, I figured the coliving wifi would work since they advertised "business class" internet. Saw a review later from someone who said it dropped out every afternoon, which turned out to be true for me too. @jamie770 I should've looked up actual coworking spots beforehand, but by the time I realized the wifi was shaky, I was already stuck in a lease. Live and learn I guess.

yea that "business class" claim is such a scam lol. i've started keeping a portable hotspot in my bag for situations like that, one of those little 4G/5G ones. costs like $50 a month but it saved my butt more than once, especially if you can find a cheap data-only sim. also pro tip: coworking spaces usually let you buy day passes for $20-30, so you could've just hit those up as needed instead of stressing over the wifi timing out at 3pm every day. hope your lease ends soon, been there and it sucks.
