Just realized I was working way too many hours because of bad wifi setup

I was at a coworking space in Bangkok last month grinding 12 hour days and wondering why I was so burnt out. A guy at the next table showed me his portable monitor and a travel router and I suddenly saw I was just wasting time waiting for pages to load. Has anyone else found a small gear upgrade that cut their work time in half?

Used to think gadgets were just overpriced toys until I picked up a travel router in Tokyo. Cut my time on video calls by a good third since the connection stopped dropping every few minutes.

Not sure I buy that a travel router is the magic fix here. Most of the time your video call drops because your hotel or Airbnb wifi is garbage, not because your device is the weak link. A router can't turn a bad signal into a good one, it just reroutes what's already there. You might have just gotten lucky with a solid connection that day.

600 bucks says you've never tried one though.
