My laptop battery life went from 2 hours to almost 5 after I left Chiang Mai

I mean, I was in Chiang Mai for a full year and my old MacBook Air would barely last a coffee shop session. I moved to a small town in Portugal six weeks ago, and now I can work outside all afternoon without the charger. I think it's just the cooler, less humid air here, but idk, maybe it's the different power grid? Has anyone else seen a big change in their gear's performance just from moving somewhere new?

Totally makes sense! My old phone's battery would drain crazy fast when I lived in Phoenix, but it chilled out once I moved north. Heat just cooks batteries over time, no doubt about it.

Weird, right? I read a tech blog a while back that said heat is the biggest killer of battery health. Chiang Mai is pretty hot and humid, which can make the battery work harder and degrade faster over time. The cooler, drier air in Portugal probably just lets your laptop run more efficiently.

But how much faster are we really talking about here, like a few months?
