Overheard a guy at a coffee shop in Chiang Mai say coworking spaces are killing real connections

I was waiting for my order and this guy probably in his 40s was talking to someone about how back in 2010 he'd meet people at hostels and end up traveling with them for weeks. Now he says everyone sits in their own bubble with noise cancelling headphones and barely looks up. Made me think about my own routine. I been bouncing between cities for 3 years and honestly I talk to less people now than when I started. Has anyone else noticed this shift or is it just me?

Whoah that's wild timing. I literally just read some article about how coworking spaces are basically designed to make you look busy instead of actually meeting people. Guess it worked on everyone lol

Reminds me of the time I spent 3 hours rearranging snacks at a co-working kitchen to look productive.
