Serious question, has anyone else had to choose between a stable apartment and a constant travel life?
I was in Medellin for two months and had to decide. Option one was signing a six month lease on a nice place in Laureles for $800 a month. Option two was booking a new Airbnb every two weeks, moving around Colombia. I picked the constant travel. It was a mistake. After a month, the constant packing, finding new wifi, and never having a real kitchen wore me down. I spent more on last minute bookings than the rent would have been. My work suffered because I was always setting up somewhere new. Has anyone else tried the full nomad move and found they actually need a home base?

That "cheap home base" idea is the real fix. I did the same thing after burning out, got a small place in Lisbon for most of the month. Lets you actually work and then you can take real breaks on short trips instead of always moving.

My Chiang Mai apartment changed everything for my focus.

Yeah the part about your work suffering really hits home. I used to chase that constant travel idea too, but burning out from never having a real routine changed my mind. Now I do a cheap home base for most of the month and take short trips, it's way better for actually getting stuff done.
