Tried coworking at a beach cafe and got zero work done all day

I figured wifi by the ocean would be inspirational but turns out the glare on my laptop screen made it impossible to see anything, plus the sand got in my keyboard. Anyone else find that Instagram-perfect workspaces are actually terrible for productivity?

Was it the view distracting you or just bad setup in general...

Ran into my buddy marco the other day, @kaih36, and he told me this wild story about his home office setup. He had this huge window behind his monitor that showed off the whole city skyline, and for two weeks he thought it was the view making him slow down at work. Turns out his desk was like three inches too low and he was hunching over so bad his neck gave out. Got a riser from some hardware store for like 15 bucks and now he says he barely notices the view at all. Made me realize how something tiny like desk height can mess with your whole flow more than any distraction.

Blamed the view but really just needed a better chair and less coffee.
