Tried coworking from a beach for a week in Bali

Thought it'd be paradise but my laptop overheated twice and sand got in my keyboard. Spent more time finding shade and wiping stuff down than actually working. Anyone else fall for the beach office fantasy and regret it?

Got sand in my laptop fan within 3 minutes and had to watch a YouTube repair video while sweating through a sarong. Turns out "work from anywhere" really means "work from anywhere with reliable WiFi and no actual nature involved." Idk, maybe the whole beach office thing is just a scam by sunscreen companies to sell more SPF 50.

That line about "work from anywhere with reliable WiFi and no actual nature involved" really nails it. People forget that nature comes with heat, humidity, and grit that our modern electronics just weren't built to handle. The fantasy sells a dream but the reality is you're fighting your environment more than you're getting work done.
