Update: my work setup in Chiang Mai went from 20 tabs of chaos to something I can actually think in
Three months ago I was working from a rented desk in Nimman with about 18 browser tabs open at all times, and my brain felt like static. I could not finish a single lesson plan without jumping between six things. Then a friend who runs a small design studio here suggested I try keeping just one monitor and putting everything else on a cheap second screen I barely look at. I was skeptical, but I tried it for a week. The change was not the gear itself, it was that closing tabs finally felt like a real action instead of a small panic. After about two weeks my work sessions stretched from 25 minutes of focus to almost 50, and I stopped rereading the same paragraph four times. I still have bad days, but the difference in how calm my head feels by 3pm is real. Curious if anyone else here has tried limiting their screen count while working from a guesthouse or cafe, and how you handled that one thing you always need open.
