Vent: Took me 2 years to realize coworking spaces made me worse at work
I used to go to this loud coworking spot in Chiang Mai every day. Thought the hustle vibes would keep me productive. One afternoon last month my VPN died and I worked from my apartment for 3 hours. Got more done than I had all week. Now I'm wondering if I just liked paying $150 a month to feel busy instead of actually working. Anyone else figure out they work better in silence?

Oh man, I feel this so hard (while simultaneously feeling deeply called out). I spent six months at a WeWork in Austin convincing myself the free kombucha and buzz of activity were essential to my productivity. Turns out I just needed to admit my brain is basically a toddler who gets overwhelmed by a slightly noisy room.

Ha! That toddler brain comparison is way too accurate for comfort.

Is it that serious though? Like yeah noisy rooms suck but we used to do homework in cafeterias without a whole identity crisis about it.
