Just spent 6 hours chasing a diploma verification glitch

I needed to verify my old community college diploma for a new job and the online system kept saying my student ID was invalid. Turns out they had me under my maiden name from 12 years ago, no idea how that got missed. After 3 phone calls and a fax (who still faxes?) they sorted it out, but the whole thing took a full workday. Anyone else run into a verification portal that just refuses to accept your info?
