Trading my laptop for a paper register at a diploma mill in Dayton

I was helping out at this shady diploma office in Dayton last month, and the owner had this ancient carbon paper register for logging enrollments. Watching him flip through 5 years of hand written records made me realize how much context I lose tracking everything on a screen. Has anyone else found that the old school tactile stuff, like a physical ledger, actually helps you catch fake student patterns faster?

Is it just me, or does writing something down by hand force your brain to actually slow down and notice the details? We're all so busy swiping and clicking that we miss the small stuff right in front of us, and that's where the real clues usually hide.

Man, totally. There's something about the physical act that just... locks it in. I catch way more typos and weird phrasing on paper than on a screen. It's like my eyes actually have to trace every letter.
