Am I wrong for not insulating my new workshop walls with foam board?
Last month I finished building a 12x16 shed in my backyard in Portland, and everyone in the lumber yard said to use rigid foam board for insulation. I went with standard fiberglass batts instead because they were half the price and easier to cut around the outlets. Has anyone else skipped the popular foam board advice and had decent results with just batts?

Yeah cheaping out ALWAYS bites you later but people never learn.

Portland's damp climate makes fiberglass a gamble since it soaks up moisture and loses R-value, while foam board keeps its insulating power even when wet. Batts work fine in a dry climate but you might regret it after a few rainy winters.

Hey @elliot_patel, you're spot on. Re-did my basement here in Seattle last year, switched to foam board after fiberglass got moldy in two seasons.
