The guys over on the garage journal forum swear by those little sprayers for staining fences and decks. They say you gotta thin the paint way down and clean it like crazy after each use though. My neighbor tried one and said it actually laid down a decent coat on his chain link, but the motor started smoking on the last section. Heard they're a gamble but if you keep your expectations low they can surprise you.

Yeah I grabbed one for my shed last summer and got through all of it before it finally gave up.
