My back porch went from a total mess to my favorite spot in just three weekends after I finally painted the old floorboards with that solid deck stain.

The difference was so big (like, night and day) that my wife actually said 'I can't believe we waited this long to do it' and now I'm wondering what other simple paint or stain jobs around the house I've been putting off that would make a huge impact.

Totally get that feeling. Honestly, just painting our front door a bright, clean white made the whole house look newer from the street. It's crazy how one small area you see every day can drag everything down. Tbh I started looking at all the trim around our windows after that and realized how dingy it was. A quick scrub and a fresh coat of paint there made almost as big a difference. It's like you fix one spot and then you see the next thing that needs it.

Yeah it's wild how much a fresh coat on the trim helps. I did mine last fall and it felt like the whole house got a filter lol. Once you start you just keep noticing all the little spots.
