Overheard a contractor at the hardware store say 'that old wiring is a ticking clock' and it got me checking my own place

Scary how common that is, terryw67. Makes you wonder if the real problem is how cheap the safety stuff gets made now. Your buddy got lucky, but the next person might not. We always check for recalls on big items, but maybe we should be checking the small safety parts too, like latches or sensors. They fail way more than anyone talks about.
