Putting together a raised garden bed for my veggies turned out pretty simple.
My plot had hard soil, so I could not plant anything directly. I followed some online guides and built a frame with old wood, then filled it with dirt. What do you think is the best dirt blend for things like tomatoes and peppers?

My friend mixed in a bunch of compost and some peat moss last spring. Her pepper plants totally blew up from that blend.

Last spring, a gardening buddy blended compost from her worm bin with peat moss. Her zucchini plants exploded with growth by early summer. She harvested over twenty pounds from just three plants. The mix really held moisture without drowning the roots.
