Showerthought: I just hit 100 different paint samples on my living room wall

I was trying to pick a new color for my living room. I kept painting little squares. I thought I had maybe 30 or 40. I counted them last night. There were exactly 100. One hundred little squares of beige, gray, and greige. It looked like a weird quilt. I spent over $200 on sample pots alone. My partner said it looked like a modern art project gone wrong. The crazy part is, I still haven't picked one. I just kept thinking the next one would be perfect. Has anyone else gotten this deep into a simple paint choice? How did you finally decide?

Maybe she was just too afraid to commit to a real decision and called it fate instead.
