Serious question, why did I ever pay $8 for glass cleaner when the dollar store stuff works just as good

Used to drop $8 a bottle at Target for that fancy streak-free spray, but after grabbing the $1.25 version from Dollar Tree six months ago to clean my car windows in the parking lot, I swear it leaves fewer lines than the expensive stuff, so has anyone else made that switch or am I just blind to the difference?

My kitchen cabinet looks like a DOLLAR STORE museum exhibit now, I've got fifteen bottles of the blue stuff and I'm pretty sure it's the same factory that makes the fancy brands with just different labels. The only thing I noticed is the dollar tree spray smells a little more like chemicals, which honestly might be a feature not a bug. My car windows have never been cleaner and I've saved like forty bucks this year on something I used to think had to cost more to work. The REAL scam is that expensive glass cleaner with the little foam nozzle, that thing never worked anyway.

Those $1.25 bottles leave a nasty film on my mirrors though.
