The $60 rush shipping that saved my client or maybe ruined me, hard to say
Paid $60 for overnight courier on a printed proposal, got it there 2 hours before the deadline and landed the contract. But my backup plan, a $15 digital copy I emailed at 11pm, turned out to be what they actually read first... so did the money even matter or was it just theater? Anyone else throw cash at speed and then wonder if slow would've worked fine?

Paid for a 48-hour guarantee on a part once, then the customer's old one limped along until the replacement showed up anyway. Now I just tell people the slow option is the fast one and charge them for the drama.
