The airport gate agent who called my canvas 'unfinished'
She looked at my laptop full of code and said 'you're not late, you're just not done yet,' which hit different because I've always treated deadline panic like a character flaw instead of just a stage. Has anyone else had a total stranger reframe the last minute scramble into something that actually made sense?

Jump straight into agreeing with a totally random stranger who obviously knows you better than you know yourself. I once had a barista tell me my frantic order of three shots of espresso was 'just a strong start, not a desperate cry for help' and honestly, I've been living off that energy ever since. Maybe the universe sends these gate agents and coffee folks to give us the pep talk we're too stubborn to give ourselves. The last minute scramble IS the process, not the failure. I'm still convinced my laundry pile is 'in progress' and not 'a disaster zone,' but sure, let's call it a beautiful stage of creation.
