A senior drafter in my office told me my dimension strings were 'a busy mess' and to group them by function, not just location.
I started putting all the hole callouts together on a separate layer, and now my shop drawings get approved in half the time, so who else has a small change that made a big difference?

An old machinist at my last job said a clean drawing is a safe drawing, and he was right.

That's a good rule from @phoenixb34. What do you think makes a drawing "clean"? Is it just neat lines, or is it more about being crystal clear so nothing gets missed?
