Had a week where every drawing just fell apart on me

Last Tuesday I was working on a set of electrical plans for a small office remodel in downtown Portland. I had my layers set up perfect, dimensions locked in, everything looking clean. Then I went to plot it out and my CAD file corrupted right in the middle of sending it to the printer. Lost about 3 hours of work because I hadn't saved in a while. That same day the contractor called saying my riser diagram didn't match the field measurements they took. Turns out the base drawing I got from the architect had a scaling error that threw off all my elevations. Thursday I tried to fix it all but kept second guessing myself on the conduit runs. By Friday I felt like I was chasing my tail on a job that should have taken two days. Has anyone else had a week where your own stuff just keeps blowing up in your face?

Maybe you accidentally went to Art School in a past life and the universe is just balancing things out? Sounds like your CAD file had a personal grudge against you.

Ugh, that CAD file totally had it out for you, that's the worst.

Right, because nothing says "art school drop out" like a line that refuses to snap to a 90 degree angle... I swear my last project looked like a fever dream of crooked walls and floating doors. Maybe it's the universe telling me my real talent is in interpretive drafting, not actual architecture.
