My supervisor's red ink on my revision notes changed how I read blueprints

He circled a dimension I skimmed right over and wrote 'this will cost you 6 hours if you miss it' in the margin. Now I double-check every hidden line before I start plotting.

That little trick with the red ink really sticks with you though. Hard lesson but it saves way more time in the long run than it costs you upfront.

Totally agree with @paulmitchell on that one. It's like a mental shortcut that just works. Why do you think it sticks so hard for most people?
