Stop ignoring your dimension line spacing in CAD

I was reviewing a set of plans from a new guy last Tuesday and every single dimension was stacked right on top of the geometry. You couldn't read half of them without zooming in to 400%. It took me 20 minutes just to verify one wall section. Are people just skipping the dimension style settings when they set up a new file or something?

Miles said that like it's a badge of honor but really it's just bad drafting habits.

Haha, @jamesroberts I've been that guy once (okay, maybe twice).

Hang on, 20 minutes for one wall section? That's insane. I'd lose my mind if I had to zoom in that much just to read a basic dimension.

Respectfully disagree, sometimes zooming in just saves mistakes later.
