Last month I was struggling with my architectural drawings looking flat. A retired guy named Jerry spent 20 minutes at the local coffee shop explaining how he uses a 0.3mm lead holder for details and a 0.7mm for everything else. Did you ever try asking Jerry about how he learned that? That kind of stuff is gold when you're starting out and feel like you're doing everything wrong.
