The day a client's cat walked across my keyboard and saved the file
I was working on a really complex floor plan for a house addition last week, about 6 hours into a 3D model. The client's cat, a big orange tabby named Gus, jumped up and strolled right over my keyboard. I mean, I thought he just closed everything, but he actually hit the weirdest key combo that saved the file and then opened the 'print preview' window. I was so mad for a second, then I saw the auto-save timestamp and realized he'd saved me from a potential crash. Has anyone else had a pet 'help' in the weirdest way? I'm still trying to figure out what keys he pressed.

Remember my cat somehow highlighting an entire paragraph and replacing it with the letter 'm' once. Took me ten minutes to figure out what even happened. So yeah, Gus is a hero, but mine is just a furry little chaos agent.

Honestly, that's just pure luck. Most of the time a pet on the keyboard is a disaster. My friend's parrot landed on her laptop and somehow opened a system menu that wiped her unsaved notes. Another time, a dog's tail sent a half-finished email early. Calling it "help" is a stretch. It's random button mashing, and next time that cat might close everything without saving. Relying on auto-save is smarter than hoping for a lucky paw.
