The day I tried to draft a whole floor plan with just a mouse

So last month, I was in a rush to finish a simple house layout and decided to skip my usual tablet and stylus. I figured, how hard could it be to draw all the walls and windows with just the laptop mouse? Two hours later, my hand was cramping and the lines looked like a toddler drew them. I switched back to my old Wacom tablet and finished the same work in about 30 minutes with clean lines. The difference in speed and control was huge, and my wrist thanked me. What's the one tool you tried to skip that you'll never go without again?

My old boss at the drafting firm swore by his trackball mouse, said it saved his career from carpal tunnel. I tried one for a week and hated the learning curve, kept spinning the ball too fast. But after sticking with it, my wrist pain from long CAD sessions just vanished. Now I keep a Kensington Expert Mouse on my desk at home, and it feels like drawing with my whole arm instead of just my fingers.

Oh man, same here! I fought with a trackball for ages before it finally clicked, and now my wrist never aches after gaming. That switch to using your arm is a total game changer.

Yeah, that learning curve is real. I found turning down the cursor speed at first helped me stop overshooting everything.
