TIL my section views were a mess because of one comment from a senior drafter
I was working on a set of foundation plans for a warehouse in Boise last month, and the senior drafter reviewing them pointed at a section and said, 'I can't tell where this cut is taken from.' He was right (my callouts were all over the place). I went back and made a strict rule for myself: every section marker gets a clear, numbered bubble on the plan view before I even draw the section. Has anyone else had a review that totally changed a basic habit like that?

Yeah, that hits home. I once had a boss redline a whole sheet because my north arrows were different sizes. Like, barely noticeable. He said it looked sloppy. Now I have a template block for that stuff, zero thinking needed.

Come on, that boss was right though. Little details like that do make a project look way more professional.

Wait, he made you redo a whole sheet over north arrow sizes? That's wild! I get wanting things to look clean, but that feels like a level of picky that just wastes everyone's time. At some point you're just changing pixels for no real reason. My old boss would have lost his mind over that too, honestly.
