Warning: that "quick save" feature in AutoCAD 2024 has a nasty catch

I figured out the hard way last Tuesday that it doesn't save your custom linetype definitions. Lost 3 hours of work on a zoning drawing because I hit quick save instead of save as and closed out. Has anyone else had settings just vanish like that?

Wait, so quick save actually means "quick up and quit on you"? That's brutal, man. I've had AutoCAD eat entire layers before but losing custom linetypes feels like a special kind of betrayal. Did you try checking your autosave folder or is it just gone forever like my will to live after a crash? I swear every "time saving" feature in this program just creates more work in the long run.

Man I wonder if it's actually some hidden corruption in the template file itself, like the problem's been there since day one and just waited to show up. That happened to me once with a hatch pattern, took me weeks to figure out it was the original drawing setup not the saves.
