Finally cleared a blocked cutterhead after 3 hours of messing around
Last Tuesday on the Mississippi near Baton Rouge, I had a clogged cutterhead that just wouldnt let go. Tried reversing the swing, nothing worked, so I had to shut down and dig out about 40 pounds of tangled roots and debris by hand. Anyone else have a go-to trick for avoiding these nasty clogs?

Ugh, that's the worst. I had a mess like that last month and honestly, just stopping early and picking it clean by hand was the only thing that worked for me too.

Found that a quick burst of high pressure water from a hose sometimes knocks the worst of it loose before it gets too bad.

40 pounds by hand sounds brutal. What kind of roots are the worst for wrapping up like that?
