I kept getting sediment in my pump until a guy on the Lake Erie job said 'check your ladder angle'.

He was right, my ladder was set at 22 degrees instead of the 18 my manual said, and that tiny difference was pulling up way more bottom muck. Anyone else have a simple fix that saved you a ton of cleanup time?

My old foreman swore by a 5-degree variance causing most sediment issues, lol.

Check the manual, it's 18 degrees.

That Lake Erie guy got lucky. I mean, my manual says 22 degrees and we run clean. Maybe it's not the angle but the pump speed or the screen type. I've seen way more problems from a worn impeller than a few degrees off on the ladder.
