Swapped to a laser sight for my cutterhead - way faster alignment now

Used to eyeball it with a string line every morning and took 20 minutes, now I'm done in 5 and haven't had a wobble in 3 months - anyone else make that switch?

Oh man I was totally against lasers for the longest time! Kept telling myself string was more reliable and I could feel the cut better. But I finally caved and grabbed a cheap laser level from harbor freight just to try it and yeah I was wrong. My alignment time went from fumbling around in the dark to basically just clamping and pressing a button.

That Harbor Freight one is surprisingly decent for the price, I've heard a lot of guys swear by it for basic stuff. I mean, once you see how fast it lines up a miter saw fence or a cabinet run, it's hard to go back to squinting at a string.

Never thought about dust buildup on the laser lens though. @the_jennifer been dealing with that?
