Shoutout to the old plaster ceiling I had to demo before hanging board in a 1920s bungalow

What should've been a 2-hour demo turned into a 3-day nightmare of removing 3 layers of lath and horsehair plaster that was fused to the joists with what felt like concrete.

OH MY GOSH three layers?! That is a whole new level of awful. I would have just sat down and cried on day two. The horsehair plaster alone is bad enough but fused to the joists? That sounds like actual torture.

Our 1920s house had that same plaster fused to the lathe.
