Appreciation post: A terrible laundry week that turned into a good one

Last Monday I put a red crayon through the wash with a load of white shirts. Turned everything pink. Then Tuesday the dryer stopped mid-cycle and I had to air dry everything on the rack. By Friday I was so fed up I decided to sort every single piece of clothing by color and fabric type. Ended up finding $12 in loose change and a gift card I thought was gone forever. Has anyone else had a week that started awful but ended up with a surprise find?

Funny how a bad week can shake loose the little things you forgot you had.

Used to think it was just people being dramatic when they'd say stuff like that... but man, I've been there now. It's weird how one thing going wrong can make you stop and notice all these other little blessings you'd been taking for granted. Like a old picture that falls out of a book or a text from a friend you hadn't thought about in months. Kind of humbles you, honestly. Makes you realize you probably had more good things than you gave yourself credit for.
