Disagree about dryer sheets - they actually wrecked my towels for 6 months till I stopped using them

Ugh, that totally sucks. I had the same thing happen with my bath towels after using those sheets for a couple months, they just felt waxy and couldn't dry anything. I ended up having to wash them with a cup of vinegar three times to get the gunk out, it was such a hassle. Idk why they put that coating on everything, it seems like a scam.

The waxy buildup sound is real, that vinegar trick is the only thing that worked for me too.
