I finally stopped using soy sauce as my only dumpling dip
Used to just pour soy sauce in a bowl and call it done. Worked fine for like 10 years. Then a customer at my shop in Cleveland told me her family's recipe. Rice vinegar, sesame oil, a tiny bit of sugar, and crushed garlic. Tried it on some pork and chive dumplings from the Asian market last weekend. Now I can't go back to plain soy sauce. Anyone else have that one dipping sauce recipe that ruined all others for you?

Rice vinegar and sesame oil is a dangerous combo. Once you try it plain soy sauce tastes like salty water. Your dumpling game got an instant upgrade.

That vinegar and sesame combo is legit game changing.

Stop telling me this after I just bought a whole bottle of fancy soy sauce. I thought I had the ultimate dip situation figured out and now I gotta rethink everything. Is this the kind of upgrade that ruins cheap takeout for you forever?
